Can you really eat your way to a pain free life?

In addition to being an obese country, we are ravaged by pain. The current addiction to opioid drugs and over-the-counter pain relievers begs for a non-pharmaceutical solution. When the first chiropractic “adjustment” was given in 1895, spinal manipulation alone provided miraculous results. The assessment and treatment were primarily mechanical, intended to improve spinal alignment, movement efficiency and the neurological communication between the brain and the body.

Today however, the CHEMICAL imbalances inside the people seeking pain relief is largely brought about by sugar, saturated animal fats and dairy products. These foods PROMOTE inflammation. To get the best dividends on the time, effort and money you spend in my office, eating an anti-inflammatory diet is key!

This diet is more plant-based and less meat-centered; especially processed and marbled meats. You should consume more water and quit drinking sugary soft drinks and alcohol. Just eliminating 1-3 items in your current diet will make a HUGE difference in 1- 4 weeks….guaranteed.

For the next 1 – 4 weeks, try the following:

  • No coffee
  • No alcohol
  • No added sugar. Fruits are fine – we are talking about cutting out soda, candy and desserts.

The first few days are the hardest because you are be challenged to change habits. Once you make the switch, you’ll feel the difference – physically, mentally and emotionally.
